* Jude , the servant of Jesus Christ , and brother of James , to them that are sanctified (5772 ) by God the Father , and preserved (5772 ) in Jesus Christ , and called : * Mercy unto you , and peace , and love , be multiplied (5684 ). * Beloved , when I gave (5734 ) all diligence to write (5721 ) unto you of the common salvation , it was needful for me (5627 ) to write (5658 ) unto you , and exhort (5723 ) you that ye should earnestly contend (5738 ) for the faith which was once delivered (5685 ) unto the saints . * For there are certain men crept in unawares (5656 ), who were before of old ordained (5772 ) to this condemnation , ungodly men , turning (5723 ) the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying (5740 ) the only Lord God , and our Lord Jesus Christ . * I will (5736 ) therefore put you in remembrance (5658 ), though ye once knew (5761 ) this , how that the Lord , having saved (5660 ) the people out of the land of Egypt , afterward destroyed (5656 ) them that believed (5660 ) not . * And the angels which kept (5660 ) not their first estate , but left (5631 ) their own habitation , he hath reserved (5758 ) in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day . * Even as Sodom and Gomorrha , and the cities about them in like manner , giving themselves over to fornication (5660 ), and going (5631 ) after strange flesh , are set forth for (5736 ) an example , suffering (5723 ) the vengeance of eternal fire . * Likewise also these filthy dreamers (5740 ) defile (5719 ) the flesh , despise (5719 ) dominion , and speak evil (5719 ) of dignities . * Yet Michael the archangel , when contending (5734 ) with the devil he disputed (5711 ) about the body of Moses , durst (5656 ) not bring against him (5629 ) a railing accusation , but said (5627 ), The Lord rebuke (5659 ) thee . * But these speak evil of (5719 ) those things which they know (5758 ) not : but what they know (5736 ) naturally , as brute beasts , in those things they corrupt themselves (5743 ). * Woe unto them ! for they have gone (5675 ) in the way of Cain , and ran greedily after (5681 ) the error of Balaam for reward , and perished (5639 ) in the gainsaying of Core . * These are (5748 ) spots in your feasts of charity , when they feast (5740 ) with you , feeding (5723 ) themselves without fear : clouds they are without water , carried about (5746 ) of winds ; trees whose fruit withereth , without fruit , twice dead (5631 ), plucked up by the roots (5685 ); * Raging waves of the sea , foaming out (5723 ) their own shame ; wandering stars , to whom is reserved (5769 ) the blackness of darkness for ever . * And Enoch also , the seventh from Adam , prophesied (5656 ) of these , saying (5723 ), Behold (5628 ), the Lord cometh (5627 ) with ten thousands of his saints , * To execute (5658 ) judgment upon all , and to convince (5658 ) all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed (5656 ), and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken (5656 ) against him . * These are (5748 ) murmurers , complainers , walking (5740 ) after their own lusts ; and their mouth speaketh (5719 ) great swelling words , having mens persons in admiration (5723 ) because of advantage . * But , beloved , remember (5682 ) ye the words which were spoken before (5772 ) of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ ; * How that they told (5707 ) you there should be (5704 ) mockers in the last time , who should walk (5740 ) after their own ungodly lusts . * These be (5748 ) they who separate (5723 ) themselves , sensual , having (5723 ) not the Spirit . * But ye , beloved , building up (5723 ) yourselves on your most holy faith , praying (5740 ) in the Holy Ghost , * Keep (5657 ) yourselves in the love of God , looking for (5740 ) the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life . * And of some have compassion (5720 ), making a difference (5734 ): * And others save (5720 ) with fear , pulling (5723 ) them out of the fire ; hating (5723 ) even the garment spotted (5772 ) by the flesh . * Now unto him that is able (5740 ) to keep (5658 ) you (5625 ) from falling , and to present (5658 ) you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy , * To the only wise God , our Saviour , be glory and majesty , dominion and power , both now and ever . Amen .
