* I say (5719 ) unto you , Though he will not rise (5685 ) and give (5692 ) him , because he is (5750 ) his friend , yet because of his importunity he will rise (5631 ) and give (5692 ) him as many as he needeth (5719 ). * And I say (5719 ) unto you , Ask (5720 ), and it shall be given (5701 ) you ; seek (5720 ), and ye shall find (5692 ); knock (5720 ), and it shall be opened (5691 ) unto you . * For every one that asketh (5723 ) receiveth (5719 ); and he that seeketh (5723 ) findeth (5719 ); and to him that knocketh (5723 ) it shall be opened (5691 ). * If a son shall ask (5692 ) bread of any of you that is a father , will he give (5692 ) him a stone ? or if he ask a fish , will he for a fish give (5692 ) him a serpent ? * Or if he shall ask (5661 ) an egg , will he offer (5692 ) him a scorpion ? * If ye then , being (5723 ) evil , know (5758 ) how to give (5721 ) good gifts unto your children : how much more shall your heavenly Father give (5692 ) the Holy Spirit to them that ask (5723 ) him ?
