* And he was angry (5681 ), and would (5707 ) not go in (5629 ): therefore came his father out (5631 ), and intreated (5707 ) him . * And he answering (5679 ) said (5627 ) to his father , Lo (5628 ), these many years do I serve (5719 ) thee , neither transgressed I (5627 ) at any time thy commandment : and yet thou never gavest (5656 ) me a kid , that I might make merry (5686 ) with my friends : * But as soon as this thy son was come (5627 ), which hath devoured (5631 ) thy living with harlots , thou hast killed (5656 ) for him the fatted calf . * And he said (5627 ) unto him , Son , thou art (5748 ) ever with me , and all that I have is (5748 ) thine . * It was meet (5713 ) that we should make merry (5683 ), and be glad (5646 ): for this thy brother was (5713 ) dead , and is alive again (5656 ); and was (5713 ) lost (5756 ), and is found (5681 ).
