Luke:16:1-13

*
And he said (
5707 )
also unto his disciples ,
There was (
5713 )
a certain rich man ,
which had (
5707 )
a steward ;
and the same was accused (
5681 )
unto him that he had wasted (
5723 )
his goods (
5723 ).
*
And he called (
5660 )
him ,
and said (
5627 )
unto him ,
How is it that I hear (
5719 )
this of thee ?
give (
5628 )
an account of thy stewardship ;
for thou mayest be (
5695 )
no longer steward (
5721 ).
*
Then the steward said (
5627 )
within himself ,
What shall I do (
5661 )?
for my lord taketh away (
5731 )
from me the stewardship :
I cannot (
5719 )
dig (
5721 );
to beg (
5721 )
I am ashamed (
5727 ).
*
I am resolved (
5627 )
what to do (
5692 ),
that ,
when I am put out (
5686 )
of the stewardship ,
they may receive (
5667 )
me into their houses .
*
So he called (
5666 )
every one of his lords debtors unto him ,
and said (
5707 )
unto the first ,
How much owest thou (
5719 )
unto my lord ?
*
And he said (
5627 ),
An hundred measures of oil .
And he said (
5627 )
unto him ,
Take (
5663 )
thy bill ,
and sit down (
5660 )
quickly ,
and write (
5657 )
fifty .
*
Then said he (
5627 )
to another ,
And how much owest (
5719 )
thou ?
And he said (
5627 ),
An hundred measures of wheat .
And he said (
5719 )
unto him ,
Take (
5663 )
thy bill ,
and write (
5657 )
fourscore .
*
And the lord commended (
5656 )
the unjust steward ,
because he had done (
5656 )
wisely :
for the children of this world are (
5748 )
in their generation wiser than the children of light .
*
And I say (
5719 )
unto you ,
Make (
5657 )
to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness ;
that ,
when ye fail (
5632 ),
they may receive (
5667 )
you into everlasting habitations .
*
He that is faithful in that which is least is (
5748 )
faithful also in much :
and he that is unjust in the least is (
5748 )
unjust also in much .
*
If therefore ye have not been (
5633 )
faithful in the unrighteous mammon ,
who will commit to your trust (
5692 )
the true riches ?
*
And if ye have not been (
5633 )
faithful in that which is another mans ,
who shall give (
5692 )
you that which is your own ?
*
No servant can (
5736 )
serve (
5721 )
two masters :
for either he will hate (
5692 )
the one ,
and love (
5692 )
the other ;
or else he will hold (
5695 )
to the one ,
and despise (
5692 )
the other .
Ye cannot (
5736 )
serve (
5721 )
God and mammon .
