Luke:19:14-44

*
But his citizens hated (
5707 )
him ,
and sent (
5656 )
a message after him ,
saying (
5723 ),
We will not have (
5719 )
this man to reign (
5658 )
over us .
*
And it came to pass (
5633 ),
that when he was returned (
5629 ),
having received (
5631 )
the kingdom ,
then he commanded (
5627 )
these servants to be called (
5683 )
unto him ,
to whom he had given (
5656 )
the money ,
that he might know (
5632 )
how much every man had gained by trading (
5662 ).
*
Then came (
5633 )
the first ,
saying (
5723 ),
Lord ,
thy pound hath gained (
5662 )
ten pounds .
*
And he said (
5627 )
unto him ,
Well ,
thou good servant :
because thou hast been (
5633 )
faithful in a very little ,
have (
5723 )
thou authority (
5749 )
over ten cities .
*
And the second came (
5627 ),
saying (
5723 ),
Lord ,
thy pound hath gained (
5656 )
five pounds .
*
And he said (
5627 )
likewise to him ,
Be (
5737 )
thou also over five cities .
*
And another came (
5627 ),
saying (
5723 ),
Lord ,
behold (
5628 ),
here is thy pound ,
which I have (
5707 )
kept laid up (
5740 )
in a napkin :
*
For I feared (
5711 )
thee ,
because thou art (
5748 )
an austere man :
thou takest up (
5719 )
that thou layedst not down (
5656 ),
and reapest (
5719 )
that thou didst not sow (
5656 ).
*
And he saith (
5719 )
unto him ,
Out of thine own mouth will I judge (
5692 )
thee ,
thou wicked servant .
Thou knewest (
5715 )
that I was (
5748 )
an austere man ,
taking up (
5723 )
that I laid not down (
5656 ),
and reaping (
5723 )
that I did not sow (
5656 ):
*
Wherefore then gavest not thou (
5656 )
my money into the bank ,
that at my coming (
5631 )
I might have required (
5656 )
mine own with usury ?
*
And he said (
5627 )
unto them that stood by (
5761 ),
Take (
5657 )
from him the pound ,
and give (
5628 )
it to him that hath (
5723 )
ten pounds .
* (
And they said (
5627 )
unto him ,
Lord ,
he hath (
5719 )
ten pounds .)
*
For I say (
5719 )
unto you ,
That unto every one which hath (
5723 )
shall be given (
5701 );
and from him that hath (
5723 )
not ,
even that he hath (
5719 )
shall be taken away (
5701 )
from him .
*
But those mine enemies ,
which would (
5660 )
not that I should reign (
5658 )
over them ,
bring (
5628 )
hither ,
and slay (
5657 )
them before me .
*
And when he had thus spoken (
5631 ),
he went (
5711 )
before ,
ascending up (
5723 )
to Jerusalem .
*
And it came to pass (
5633 ),
when he was come nigh (
5656 )
to Bethphage and Bethany ,
at the mount called (
5746 )
the mount of Olives ,
he sent (
5656 )
two of his disciples ,
*
Saying (
5631 ),
Go ye (
5720 )
into the village over against you ;
in the which at your entering (
5740 )
ye shall find (
5692 )
a colt tied (
5772 ),
whereon yet never man sat (
5656 ):
loose (
5660 )
him ,
and bring (
5628 )
him hither .
*
And if any man ask (
5725 )
you ,
Why do ye loose (
5719 )
him ?
thus shall ye say (
5692 )
unto him ,
Because the Lord hath (
5719 )
need of him .
*
And they that were sent (
5772 )
went their way (
5631 ),
and found (
5627 )
even as he had said (
5627 )
unto them .
*
And as they were loosing (
5723 )
the colt ,
the owners thereof said (
5627 )
unto them ,
Why loose ye (
5719 )
the colt ?
*
And they said (
5627 ),
The Lord hath (
5719 )
need of him .
*
And they brought (
5627 )
him to Jesus :
and they cast their garments upon the colt ,
and (
5660 )
they set Jesus thereon (
5656 ).
*
And as he went (
5740 ),
they spread (
5707 )
their clothes in the way .
*
And when he was come nigh (
5723 ),
even now at the descent of the mount of Olives ,
the whole multitude of the disciples began (
5662 )
to rejoice (
5723 )
and praise (
5721 )
God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen (
5627 );
*
Saying (
5723 ),
Blessed (
5772 )
be the King that cometh (
5740 )
in the name of the Lord :
peace in heaven ,
and glory in the highest .
*
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said (
5627 )
unto him ,
Master ,
rebuke (
5657 )
thy disciples .
*
And he answered (
5679 )
and said (
5627 )
unto them ,
I tell (
5719 )
you that ,
if these should hold their peace (
5661 ),
the stones would immediately cry out (
5688 ).
*
And when he was come near (
5656 ),
he beheld (
5631 )
the city ,
and wept (
5656 )
over it ,
*
Saying (
5723 ),
If thou hadst known (
5627 ),
even thou ,
at least in this thy day ,
the things which belong unto thy peace !
but now they are hid (
5648 )
from thine eyes .
*
For the days shall come (
5692 )
upon thee ,
that thine enemies shall cast a trench about (
5692 )
thee ,
and compass thee round (
5692 ),
and keep thee in (
5692 )
on every side ,
*
And shall lay thee even with the ground (
5692 ),
and thy children within thee ;
and they shall not leave (
5692 )
in thee one stone upon another ;
because thou knewest (
5627 )
not the time of thy visitation .
