* And he said (5627 ) unto them , These are the words which I spake (5656 ) unto you , while (5752 ) I was yet with you , that all things must (5748 ) be fulfilled (5683 ), which were written (5772 ) in the law of Moses , and in the prophets , and in the psalms , concerning me . * Then opened he (5656 ) their understanding , that they might understand (5721 ) the scriptures , * And said (5627 ) unto them , Thus it is written (5769 ), and thus it behoved (5713 ) Christ to suffer (5629 ), and to rise (5629 ) from the dead the third day : * And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached (5683 ) in his name among all nations , beginning (5671 ) at Jerusalem . * And ye are (5748 ) witnesses of these things . * And , behold (5628 ), I send (5719 ) the promise of my Father upon you : but tarry (5657 ) ye in the city of Jerusalem , until ye be endued (5672 ) with power from on high .
