* Whosoever cometh (5740 ) to me , and heareth (5723 ) my sayings , and doeth (5723 ) them , I will shew (5692 ) you to whom he is (5748 ) like : * He is (5748 ) like a man which built (5723 ) an house , and digged (5656 ) deep (5656 ), and laid (5656 ) the foundation on a rock : and when the flood arose (5637 ), the stream beat vehemently (5656 ) upon that house , and could (5656 ) not shake (5658 ) it : for it was founded (5718 ) upon a rock . * But he that heareth (5660 ), and doeth (5660 ) not , is (5748 ) like a man that without a foundation built (5660 ) an house upon the earth ; against which the stream did beat vehemently (5656 ), and immediately it fell (5627 ); and the ruin of that house was (5633 ) great .
