* And when he was (5633 ) alone , they that were about him with the twelve asked (5656 ) of him the parable . * And he said (5707 ) unto them , Unto you it is given (5769 ) to know (5629 ) the mystery of the kingdom of God : but unto them that are without , all these things are done (5736 ) in parables : * That seeing (5723 ) they may see (5725 ), and not perceive (5632 ); and hearing (5723 ) they may hear (5725 ), and not understand (5725 ); lest at any time they should be converted (5661 ), and their sins should be forgiven (5686 ) them .
