* But the ship was (5713 ) now in the midst of the sea , tossed (5746 ) with waves : for the wind was (5713 ) contrary . * And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went (5627 ) unto them , walking (5723 ) on the sea . * And when the disciples saw (5631 ) him walking (5723 ) on the sea , they were troubled (5681 ), saying (5723 ), It is (5748 ) a spirit ; and they cried out (5656 ) for fear . * But straightway Jesus spake (5656 ) unto them , saying (5723 ), Be of good cheer (5720 ); it is (5748 ) I ; be not afraid (5737 ). * And Peter answered (5679 ) him and said (5627 ), Lord , if it be (5748 ) thou , bid (5657 ) me come (5629 ) unto thee on the water . * And he said (5627 ), Come (5628 ). And when Peter was come down (5631 ) out of the ship , he walked (5656 ) on the water , to go (5629 ) to Jesus . * But when he saw (5723 ) the wind boisterous , he was afraid (5675 ); and beginning (5671 ) to sink (5745 ), he cried (5656 ), saying (5723 ), Lord , save (5657 ) me . * And immediately Jesus stretched forth (5660 ) his hand , and caught (5633 ) him , and said (5719 ) unto him , O thou of little faith , wherefore didst thou doubt (5656 )? * And when they were come (5631 ) into the ship , the wind ceased (5656 ). * Then they that were in the ship came (5631 ) and worshipped (5656 ) him , saying (5723 ), Of a truth thou art (5748 ) the Son of God .
