* And his disciples asked (5656 ) him , saying (5723 ), Why then say (5719 ) the scribes that Elias must (5748 ) first come (5629 )? * And Jesus answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ) unto them , Elias truly shall first come (5736 ), and restore (5692 ) all things . * But I say (5719 ) unto you , That Elias is come (5627 ) already , and they knew (5627 ) him not , but have done (5656 ) unto him whatsoever they listed (5656 ). Likewise shall (5719 ) also the Son of man suffer (5721 ) of them . * Then the disciples understood (5656 ) that he spake (5627 ) unto them of John the Baptist .
