* For the kingdom of heaven is (5748 ) like unto a man that is an householder , which went out (5627 ) early in the morning to hire (5670 ) labourers into his vineyard . * And when he had agreed (5660 ) with the labourers for a penny a day , he sent (5656 ) them into his vineyard . * And he went out (5631 ) about the third hour , and saw (5627 ) others standing (5761 ) idle in the marketplace , * And said (5627 ) unto them ; Go (5720 ) ye also into the vineyard , and whatsoever is (5753 ) right I will give (5692 ) you . And they went their way (5627 ). * Again he went out (5631 ) about the sixth and ninth hour , and did (5656 ) likewise . * And about the eleventh hour he went out (5631 ), and found (5627 ) others standing (5761 ) idle , and saith (5719 ) unto them , Why stand ye (5758 ) here all the day idle ? * They say (5719 ) unto him , Because no man hath hired (5668 ) us . He saith (5719 ) unto them , Go (5720 ) ye also into the vineyard ; and whatsoever is (5753 ) right , that shall ye receive (5695 ). * So when even was come (5637 ), the lord of the vineyard saith (5719 ) unto his steward , Call (5657 ) the labourers , and give (5628 ) them their hire , beginning (5671 ) from the last unto the first . * And when they came (5631 ) that were hired about the eleventh hour , they received (5627 ) every man a penny . * But when the first came (5631 ), they supposed (5656 ) that they should have received (5695 ) more ; and they likewise received (5627 ) every man a penny . * And when they had received (5631 ) it , they murmured (5707 ) against the goodman of the house , * Saying (5723 ), These last have wrought (5656 ) but one hour , and thou hast made (5656 ) them equal unto us , which have borne (5660 ) the burden and heat of the day . * But he answered (5679 ) one of them , and said (5627 ), Friend , I do thee no wrong (5719 ): didst not thou agree (5656 ) with me for a penny ? * Take (5657 ) that thine is , and go thy way (5720 ): I will (5719 ) give (5629 ) unto this last , even as unto thee . * Is it not lawful (5748 ) for me to do (5658 ) what I will (5719 ) with mine own ? She saith (5719 ) unto him , Grant (5628 ) that these my two sons may sit (5661 ), the one on thy right hand , and the other on the left , in thy kingdom . * But Jesus answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ), Ye know (5758 ) not what ye ask (5731 ). Are ye able (5736 ) to drink (5629 ) of the cup that I shall (5719 ) drink of (5721 ), and to be baptized (5743 ) with the baptism that I am baptized with (5683 )? They say (5719 ) unto him , We are able (5736 ). * And he saith (5719 ) unto them , Ye shall drink (5695 ) indeed of my cup , and be baptized (5743 ) with the baptism that I am baptized with (5701 ): but to sit (5658 ) on my right hand , and on my left , is (5748 ) not mine to give (5629 ), but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared (5769 ) of my Father . * And when the ten heard (5660 ) it , they were moved with indignation (5656 ) against the two brethren . * But Jesus called (5666 ) them unto him , and said (5627 ), Ye know (5758 ) that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over (5719 ) them , and they that are great exercise authority upon (5719 ) them . * But it shall not be (5704 ) so among you : but whosoever will (5725 ) be (5635 ) great among you , let him be (5749 ) your minister ; * And whosoever will (5725 ) be (5750 ) chief among you , let him be (5749 ) your servant : * Even as the Son of man came (5627 ) not to be ministered unto (5683 ), but to minister (5658 ), and to give (5629 ) his life a ransom for many . * And as they departed (5740 ) from Jericho , a great multitude followed (5656 ) him . * And , behold (5628 ), two blind men sitting (5740 ) by the way side , when they heard (5660 ) that Jesus passed by (5719 ), cried out (5656 ), saying (5723 ), Have mercy (5657 ) on us , O Lord , thou Son of David . * And the multitude rebuked (5656 ) them , because they should hold their peace (5661 ): but they cried (5707 ) the more , saying (5723 ), Have mercy (5657 ) on us , O Lord , thou Son of David . * And Jesus stood still (5631 ), and called (5656 ) them , and said (5627 ), What will ye (5719 ) that I shall do (5661 ) unto you ? * They say (5719 ) unto him , Lord , that our eyes may be opened (5686 ). * So Jesus had compassion (5679 ) on them , and touched (5662 ) their eyes : and immediately their eyes received sight (5656 ), and they followed (5656 ) him .
