* Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened (5701 ) unto ten virgins , which took (5631 ) their lamps , and went forth (5627 ) to meet the bridegroom . * And five of them were (5713 ) wise , and five were foolish . * They that were foolish took (5631 ) their lamps , and took (5627 ) no oil with them : * But the wise took (5627 ) oil in their vessels with their lamps . * While the bridegroom tarried (5723 ), they all slumbered (5656 ) and slept (5707 ). * And at midnight there was a cry made (5754 ), Behold (5628 ), the bridegroom cometh (5736 ); go ye out (5737 ) to meet him . * Then all those virgins arose (5681 ), and trimmed (5656 ) their lamps . * And the foolish said (5627 ) unto the wise , Give (5628 ) us of your oil ; for our lamps are gone out (5743 ). * But the wise answered (5662 ), saying (5723 ), Not so ; lest there be not enough (5661 ) for us and you : but go ye (5737 ) rather to them that sell (5723 ), and buy (5657 ) for yourselves . * And while they went (5740 ) to buy (5658 ), the bridegroom came (5627 ); and they that were ready went in (5627 ) with him to the marriage : and the door was shut (5681 ). * Afterward came (5736 ) also the other virgins , saying (5723 ), Lord , Lord , open (5657 ) to us . * But he answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ), Verily I say (5719 ) unto you , I know (5758 ) you not . * Watch (5720 ) therefore , for ye know (5758 ) neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh (5736 ). * For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country (5723 ), who called (5656 ) his own servants , and delivered (5656 ) unto them his goods (5723 ). * And unto one he gave (5656 ) five talents , to another two , and to another one ; to every man according to his several ability ; and straightway took his journey (5656 ). * Then he that had received (5631 ) the five talents went (5679 ) and traded (5662 ) with the same , and made (5656 ) them other five talents . * And likewise he that had received two , he also gained (5656 ) other two . * But he that had received (5631 ) one went (5631 ) and digged (5656 ) in the earth , and hid (5656 ) his lords money . * After a long time the lord of those servants cometh (5736 ), and reckoneth (5719 ) with them . * And so he that had received (5631 ) five talents came (5631 ) and brought (5656 ) other five talents , saying (5723 ), Lord , thou deliveredst (5656 ) unto me five talents : behold , I have gained (5656 ) beside them five talents more . * His lord said (5713 ) unto him , Well done , thou good and faithful servant : thou hast been (5713 ) faithful over a few things , I will make thee ruler (5692 ) over many things : enter thou (5628 ) into the joy of thy lord . * He also that had received (5631 ) two talents came (5631 ) and said (5627 ), Lord , thou deliveredst (5656 ) unto me two talents : behold , I have gained (5656 ) two other talents beside them . * His lord said (5713 ) unto him , Well done , good and faithful servant ; thou hast been (5713 ) faithful over a few things , I will make thee ruler (5692 ) over many things : enter thou (5628 ) into the joy of thy lord . * Then he which had received (5761 ) the one talent came (5631 ) and said (5627 ), Lord , I knew (5627 ) thee that thou art (5748 ) an hard man , reaping (5723 ) where thou hast not sown (5656 ), and gathering (5723 ) where thou hast not strawed (5656 ): * And I was afraid (5679 ), and went (5631 ) and hid (5656 ) thy talent in the earth : lo , there thou hast (5719 ) that is thine . * His lord answered (5679 ) and said (5627 ) unto him , Thou wicked and slothful servant , thou knewest (5715 ) that I reap (5719 ) where I sowed (5656 ) not , and gather (5719 ) where I have not strawed (5656 ): * Thou oughtest (5713 ) therefore to have put (5629 ) my money to the exchangers , and then at my coming (5631 ) I should have received (5668 ) mine own with usury . * Take (5657 ) therefore the talent from him , and give (5628 ) it unto him which hath (5723 ) ten talents . * For unto every one that hath (5723 ) shall be given (5701 ), and he shall have abundance (5701 ): but from him that hath (5723 ) not shall be taken away (5701 ) even that which he hath (5719 ). * And cast ye (5720 ) the unprofitable servant into outer darkness : there shall be (5704 ) weeping and gnashing of teeth . * When the Son of man shall come (5632 ) in his glory , and all the holy angels with him , then shall he sit (5692 ) upon the throne of his glory : * And before him shall be gathered (5701 ) all nations : and he shall separate (5692 ) them one from another , as a shepherd divideth (5719 ) his sheep from the goats : * And he shall set (5692 ) the sheep on his right hand , but the goats on the left . * Then shall the King say (5692 ) unto them on his right hand , Come (5773 ), ye blessed (5772 ) of my Father , inherit (5657 ) the kingdom prepared (5772 ) for you from the foundation of the world : * For I was an hungred (5656 ), and ye gave (5656 ) me meat (5629 ): I was thirsty (5656 ), and ye gave me drink (5656 ): I was (5713 ) a stranger , and ye took me in (5627 ): * Naked , and ye clothed (5627 ) me : I was sick (5656 ), and ye visited (5662 ) me : I was (5713 ) in prison , and ye came (5627 ) unto me . * Then shall the righteous answer (5700 ) him , saying (5723 ), Lord , when saw we (5627 ) thee an hungred (5723 ), and fed (5656 ) thee ? or thirsty (5723 ), and gave thee drink (5656 )? * When saw we (5627 ) thee a stranger , and took thee in (5627 )? or naked , and clothed (5627 ) thee ? * Or when saw we (5627 ) thee sick , or in prison , and came (5627 ) unto thee ? * And the King shall answer (5679 ) and say (5692 ) unto them , Verily I say (5719 ) unto you , Inasmuch as ye have done (5656 ) it unto one of the least of these my brethren , ye have done (5656 ) it unto me . * Then shall he say (5692 ) also unto them on the left hand , Depart (5737 ) from me , ye cursed (5772 ), into everlasting fire , prepared (5772 ) for the devil and his angels : * For I was an hungred (5656 ), and ye gave (5656 ) me no meat (5629 ): I was thirsty (5656 ), and ye gave me no drink (5656 ): * I was (5713 ) a stranger , and ye took me not in (5627 ): naked , and ye clothed (5627 ) me not : sick , and in prison , and ye visited (5662 ) me not . * Then shall they also answer (5700 ) him , saying (5723 ), Lord , when saw we (5627 ) thee an hungred (5723 ), or athirst (5723 ), or a stranger , or naked , or sick , or in prison , and did not minister (5656 ) unto thee ? * Then 5119 # shall he answer (5700 ) them , saying (5723 ), Verily I say (5719 ) unto you , Inasmuch as ye did (5656 ) it not to one of the least of these , ye did (5656 ) it not to me . * And these shall go away (5695 ) into everlasting punishment : but the righteous into life eternal .
