* And they crucified (5660 ) him , and parted (5668 ) his garments , casting (5723 ) lots : that it might be fulfilled (5686 ) which was spoken (5685 ) by the prophet , They parted (5668 ) my garments among them , and upon my vesture did they cast (5627 ) lots . * And sitting down (5740 ) they watched (5707 ) him there ; * And set up (5656 ) over his head his accusation written (5772 ), THIS IS (5748 ) JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS . * Then were there two thieves crucified (5743 ) with him , one on the right hand , and another on the left . * And they that passed by (5740 ) reviled (5707 ) him , wagging (5723 ) their heads , * And saying (5723 ), Thou that destroyest (5723 ) the temple , and buildest (5723 ) it in three days , save (5657 ) thyself . If thou be (5748 ) the Son of God , come down (5628 ) from the cross . * Likewise also the chief priests mocking (5723 ) him , with the scribes and elders , said (5707 ), * He saved (5656 ) others ; himself he cannot (5736 ) save (5658 ). If he be (5748 ) the King of Israel , let him now come down (5628 ) from the cross , and we will believe (5692 ) him . * He trusted (5754 ) in God ; let him deliver (5663 ) him now , if he will have (5719 ) him : for he said (5627 ), I am (5748 ) the Son of God . * The thieves also , which were crucified (5685 ) with him , cast the same in his teeth (5707 ). * Now from the sixth hour there was (5633 ) darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour . * And about the ninth hour Jesus cried (5656 ) with a loud voice , saying (5723 ), Eli , Eli , lama sabachthani ? that (5748 ) is to say , My God , my God , why hast thou forsaken (5627 ) me ?
