* Therefore I say (5719 ) unto you , Take no thought (5720 ) for your life , what ye shall eat (5632 ), or what ye shall drink (5632 ); nor yet for your body , what ye shall put on (5672 ). Is (5748 ) not the life more than meat , and the body than raiment ? * Behold (5657 ) the fowls of the air : for they sow (5719 ) not , neither do they reap (5719 ), nor gather (5719 ) into barns ; yet your heavenly Father feedeth (5719 ) them . Are ye not much better than (5719 ) they ? * Which of you by taking thought (5723 ) can (5736 ) add (5629 ) one cubit unto his stature ? * And why take ye thought (5720 ) for raiment ? Consider (5628 ) the lilies of the field , how they grow (5719 ); they toil (5719 ) not , neither do they spin (5719 ): * And yet I say (5719 ) unto you , That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed (5639 ) like one of these . * Wherefore , if God so clothe (5719 ) the grass of the field , which to day is (5752 ), and to morrow is cast (5746 ) into the oven , shall he not much more clothe you , O ye of little faith ? * Therefore take no thought (5661 ), saying (5723 ), What shall we eat (5632 )? or , What shall we drink (5632 )? or , Wherewithal shall we be clothed (5643 )? * (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek (5719 ):) for your heavenly Father knoweth (5758 ) that ye have need (5719 ) of all these things .
