* Judge (5720 ) not , that ye be not judged (5686 ). * For with what judgment ye judge (5719 ), ye shall be judged (5701 ): and with what measure ye mete (5719 ), it shall be measured to you again (5701 ). * And why beholdest (5719 ) thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye , but considerest (5719 ) not the beam that is in thine own eye ? * Or how wilt thou say (5692 ) to thy brother , Let (5628 ) me pull out (5632 ) the mote out of thine eye ; and , behold (5628 ), a beam is in thine own eye ? * Thou hypocrite , first cast out (5628 ) the beam out of thine own eye ; and then shalt thou see clearly (5692 ) to cast out (5629 ) the mote out of thy brothers eye . * Give (5632 ) not that which is holy unto the dogs , neither cast (5632 ) ye your pearls before swine , lest they trample (5661 ) them under their feet , and turn again (5651 ) and rend (5661 ) you . * Ask (5720 ), and it shall be given (5701 ) you ; seek (5720 ), and ye shall find (5692 ); knock (5720 ), and it shall be opened (5691 ) unto you : * For every one that asketh (5723 ) receiveth (5719 ); and he that seeketh (5723 ) findeth (5719 ); and to him that knocketh (5723 ) it shall be opened (5691 ). * Or what man is (5748 ) there of you , whom if his son ask (5661 ) bread , will he give (5692 ) him a stone ? * Or if he ask (5661 ) a fish , will he give (5692 ) him a serpent ? * If ye then , being (5752 ) evil , know (5758 ) how to give (5721 ) good gifts unto your children , how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give (5692 ) good things to them that ask (5723 ) him ? * Therefore all things whatsoever ye would (5725 ) that men should do (5725 ) to you , do (5720 ) ye even so to them : for this is (5748 ) the law and the prophets . * Enter ye in (5628 ) at the strait gate : for wide is the gate , and broad is the way , that leadeth (5723 ) to destruction , and many there be (5748 ) which go in (5740 ) thereat : * Because strait is the gate , and narrow (5772 ) is the way , which leadeth (5723 ) unto life , and few there be (5748 ) that find (5723 ) it . * Beware (5720 ) of false prophets , which come (5736 ) to you in sheeps clothing , but inwardly they are (5748 ) ravening wolves . * Ye shall know (5695 ) them by their fruits . Do men gather (5719 ) grapes of thorns , or figs of thistles ? * Even so every good tree bringeth forth (5719 ) good fruit ; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth (5719 ) evil fruit . * A good tree cannot (5736 ) bring forth (5721 ) evil fruit , neither can a corrupt tree bring forth (5721 ) good fruit . * Every tree that bringeth not forth (5723 ) good fruit is hewn down (5743 ), and cast (5743 ) into the fire . * Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know (5695 ) them . * Not every one that saith (5723 ) unto me , Lord , Lord , shall enter (5695 ) into the kingdom of heaven ; but he that doeth (5723 ) the will of my Father which is in heaven . * Many will say (5692 ) to me in that day , Lord , Lord , have we not prophesied (5656 ) in thy name ? and in thy name have cast out (5627 ) devils ? and in thy name done (5656 ) many wonderful works ? * And then will I profess (5692 ) unto them , I never knew (5627 ) you : depart (5720 ) from me , ye that work (5740 ) iniquity . * Therefore whosoever heareth (5719 ) these sayings of mine , and doeth (5719 ) them , I will liken (5692 ) him unto a wise man , which built (5656 ) his house upon a rock : * And the rain descended (5627 ), and the floods came (5627 ), and the winds blew (5656 ), and beat upon (5627 ) that house ; and it fell (5627 ) not : for it was founded (5718 ) upon a rock . * And every one that heareth (5723 ) these sayings of mine , and doeth (5723 ) them not , shall be likened (5701 ) unto a foolish man , which built (5656 ) his house upon the sand : * And the rain descended (5627 ), and the floods came (5627 ), and the winds blew (5656 ), and beat upon (5656 ) that house ; and it fell (5627 ): and great was (5713 ) the fall of it . * And it came to pass (5633 ), when Jesus had ended (5656 ) these sayings , the people were astonished (5712 ) at his doctrine : * For he taught (5723 ) (5713 ) them as one having (5723 ) authority , and not as the scribes .
