* And , behold (5628 ), they brought (5707 ) to him a man sick of the palsy , lying (5772 ) on a bed : and Jesus seeing (5631 ) their faith said (5627 ) unto the sick of the palsy ; Son , be of good cheer (5720 ); thy sins be forgiven (5769 ) thee . * And , behold (5628 ), certain of the scribes said (5627 ) within themselves , This man blasphemeth (5719 ). * And Jesus knowing (5631 ) their thoughts said (5627 ), Wherefore think (5736 ) ye evil in your hearts ? * For whether is (5748 ) easier , to say (5629 ), Thy sins be forgiven (5769 ) thee ; or to say (5629 ), Arise (5669 ), and walk (5720 )? * But that ye may know (5762 ) that the Son of man hath (5719 ) power on earth to forgive (5721 ) sins , (then saith he (5719 ) to the sick of the palsy ,) Arise (5685 ), take up (5657 ) thy bed , and go (5720 ) unto thine house . * And he arose (5685 ), and departed (5627 ) to his house . * But when the multitudes saw (5631 ) it , they marvelled (5656 ), and glorified (5656 ) God , which had given (5631 ) such power unto men .
