* Wherefore , though I might be (5723 ) much bold in Christ to enjoin (5721 ) thee that which is convenient (5723 ), * Yet for loves sake I rather beseech (5719 ) thee , being (5752 ) such an one as Paul the aged , and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ . * I beseech (5719 ) thee for my son Onesimus , whom I have begotten (5656 ) in my bonds : * Which in time past was to thee unprofitable , but now profitable to thee and to me : * Whom I have sent again (5656 ): thou therefore receive (5640 ) him , that is (5748 ), mine own bowels : * Whom I would (5711 ) have retained (5721 ) with me , that in thy stead he might have ministered (5725 ) unto me in the bonds of the gospel : * But without thy mind would (5656 ) I do (5658 ) nothing ; that thy benefit should not be (5753 ) as it were of necessity , but willingly . * For perhaps he therefore departed (5681 ) for a season , that thou shouldest receive (5725 ) him for ever ; * Not now as a servant , but above a servant , a brother beloved , specially to me , but how much more unto thee , both in the flesh , and in the Lord ? * If thou count (5719 ) me therefore a partner , receive (5640 ) him as myself . * If he hath wronged (5656 ) thee , or oweth (5719 ) thee ought , put that on (5720 ) mine account ; * I Paul have written (5656 ) it with mine own hand , I will repay (5692 ) it : albeit I do not say (5725 ) to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides (5719 ). * Yea , brother , let me have joy (5636 ) of thee in the Lord : refresh (5657 ) my bowels in the Lord .
