* And I stood (5681 ) upon the sand of the sea , and saw (5627 ) a beast rise up (5723 ) out of the sea , having (5723 ) seven heads and ten horns , and upon his horns ten crowns , and upon his heads the name of blasphemy . * And the beast which I saw (5627 ) was (5713 ) like unto a leopard , and his feet were as the feet of a bear , and his mouth as the mouth of a lion : and the dragon gave (5656 ) him his power , and his seat , and great authority . * And I saw (5627 ) one of his heads as it were wounded (5772 ) to death ; and his deadly wound was healed (5681 ): and all the world wondered (5681 ) (5625 ) (5656 ) after the beast . * And they worshipped (5656 ) the dragon which gave (5656 ) power unto the beast : and they worshipped (5656 ) the beast , saying (5723 ), Who is like unto the beast ? who is able (5736 ) to make war (5658 ) with him ? * And there was given (5681 ) unto him a mouth speaking (5723 ) great things and blasphemies ; and power was given (5681 ) unto him to continue (5658 ) forty and two months . * And he opened (5656 ) his mouth in blasphemy against God , to blaspheme (5658 ) his name , and his tabernacle , and them that dwell (5723 ) in heaven . * And it was given (5681 ) unto him to make (5658 ) war with the saints , and to overcome (5658 ) them : and power was given (5681 ) him over all kindreds , and tongues , and nations . * And all that dwell (5723 ) upon the earth shall worship (5692 ) him , whose names are not written (5769 ) in the book of life of the Lamb slain (5772 ) from the foundation of the world . * If any man have (5719 ) an ear , let him hear (5657 ). * He that leadeth (5719 ) into captivity shall go (5719 ) into captivity : he that killeth (5719 ) with the sword must (5748 ) be killed (5683 ) with the sword . Here is (5748 ) the patience and the faith of the saints . * And I beheld (5627 ) another beast coming up (5723 ) out of the earth ; and he had (5707 ) two horns like a lamb , and he spake (5707 ) as a dragon . * And he exerciseth (5719 ) all the power of the first beast before him , and causeth (5719 ) the earth and them which dwell (5723 ) therein to worship (5661 ) the first beast , whose deadly wound was healed (5681 ). * And he doeth (5719 ) great wonders , so that he maketh (5725 ) fire come down (5721 ) from heaven on the earth in the sight of men , * And deceiveth (5719 ) them that dwell (5723 ) on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power (5681 ) to do (5658 ) in the sight of the beast ; saying (5723 ) to them that dwell (5723 ) on the earth , that they should make (5658 ) an image to the beast , which had (5719 ) the wound by a sword , and did live (5656 ). * And he had power (5681 ) to give (5629 ) life unto the image of the beast , that the image of the beast should both speak (5661 ), and cause (5661 ) that as many as would not worship (5661 ) the image of the beast should be killed (5686 ). * And he causeth (5719 ) all , both small and great , rich and poor , free and bond , to receive (5661 ) a mark in their right hand , or in their foreheads : * And that no man might (5741 ) buy (5658 ) or sell (5658 ), save he that had (5723 ) the mark , or the name of the beast , or the number of his name . * Here is (5748 ) wisdom . Let him that hath (5723 ) understanding count (5657 ) the number of the beast : for it is (5748 ) the number of a man ; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six .
