* What then ? Israel hath not obtained (5627 ) that which he seeketh for (5719 ); but the election hath obtained it (5627 ), and the rest were blinded (5681 ) * (According as it is written (5769 ), God hath given (5656 ) them the spirit of slumber , eyes that they should not see (5721 ), and ears that they should not hear (5721 );) unto this day . * And David saith (5719 ), Let their table be made (5676 ) a snare , and a trap , and a stumblingblock , and a recompence unto them : * Let their eyes be darkened (5682 ), that they may not see (5721 ), and bow down (5657 ) their back alway .
