* For I was alive (5707 ) without the law once : but when the commandment came (5631 ), sin revived (5656 ), and I died (5627 ). * And the commandment , which was ordained to life , I found (5681 ) to be unto death . * For sin , taking (5631 ) occasion by the commandment , deceived (5656 ) me , and by it slew (5656 ) me . * Wherefore the law is holy , and the commandment holy , and just , and good . * Was then that which is good made (5754 ) death unto me ? God forbid (5636 ). But sin , that it might appear (5652 ) sin , working (5740 ) death in me by that which is good ; that sin by the commandment might become (5638 ) exceeding sinful . * For we know (5758 ) that the law is (5748 ) spiritual : but I am (5748 ) carnal , sold (5772 ) under sin .
