* Put them in mind (5720 ) to be subject (5733 ) to principalities and powers , to obey magistrates (5721 ), to be (5750 ) ready to every good work , * To speak evil of (5721 ) no man , to be (5750 ) no brawlers , but gentle , shewing (5734 ) all meekness unto all men . * For we ourselves also were (5713 ) sometimes foolish , disobedient , deceived (5746 ), serving (5723 ) divers lusts and pleasures , living (5723 ) in malice and envy , hateful , and hating (5723 ) one another . * But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared (5648 ), * Not by works of righteousness which we have done (5656 ), but according to his mercy he saved (5656 ) us , by the washing of regeneration , and renewing of the Holy Ghost ; * Which he shed (5656 ) on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour ; * That being justified by (5685 ) his grace , we should be made (5638 ) heirs according to the hope of eternal life . * This is a faithful saying , and these things I will (5736 ) that thou affirm constantly (5738 ), that they which have believed (5761 ) in God might be careful (5725 ) to maintain (5733 ) good works . These things are (5748 ) good and profitable unto men . * But avoid (5732 ) foolish questions , and genealogies , and contentions , and strivings about the law ; for they are (5748 ) unprofitable and vain . * A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject (5737 ); * Knowing (5761 ) that he that is such is subverted (5769 ), and sinneth (5719 ), being (5752 ) condemned of himself . * When I shall send (5692 ) Artemas unto thee , or Tychicus , be diligent (5657 ) to come (5629 ) unto me to Nicopolis : for I have determined (5758 ) there to winter (5658 ). * Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey (5657 ) diligently , that nothing be wanting (5725 ) unto them . * And let ours also learn (5720 ) to maintain (5733 ) good works for necessary uses , that they be (5753 ) not unfruitful . * All that are with me salute (5736 ) thee . Greet (5663 ) them that love (5723 ) us in the faith . Grace be with you all .
