INTRODUCTION:

There is a difference between hope and faith and belief. It was late Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones that once taught (I paraphrase and recollect) "hope is to look ahead and hope for what could be, faith is looking back at what has already been presented and draw from it the best path forward to making that hope finally be". For instance: I hope for life and heaven, to shed mortal sin enough to be with God, radiate HIS love to all others etc... Faith is the stairway past and present HE leads us on to get me there.

The Apostle of the Epistle of Hebrews put it this way:

kjv@Hebrews:11:1 @ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

And I can see that hope is only hope, good as hope is in this dark and weary age. Faith though, when it is merged into hope, gives substance to hope and a pathway forward to receiving it; in these Christian terms. The following content thread is a collection of items past intended to help lay that substantial ground the seed of hope properly can grow itself in.

Of faith it is also said:

kjv@Romans:10:17 @ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

As opposed by those who believe what they want to believe, the better belief is to believe what has been written and proved out for many generations. God's Word frames the ages (stairway), man's hope by means of faith traverses it.

What you will see in the following pages is a great many men's constant eye upon the "Word" of Holy Scripture as they attempt to live it, as they attempt to interpret/comprehend it, as they prepare to organize/teach it to others and hold it together as a common faith. Not that any of these "faiths" are perfect; perfection is only found in Christ Jesus himself. Improving our understanding of His perfection is more the appropriate task. And with all our learning and improving there must be an vigilant eye on living this growing understanding forward into our daily affairs and projecting this.

In these resorces provided, we have a step up. We don't have to start building our faith from ground zero. We can build upon their efforts, pick up where they left off, find out where it took them and where else they could have been lead. As they benefited from those whom had gone before them, we can benefit from them and not simply discard them.

I hope this be done. I will add more of these resources as they come along!
